Italian artist, born in Ragusa (1981), with an experience in the field of art that has already reached twenty years, Alberto Criscione has cultivated since childhood a preference for the visual arts. His training course began with his father, Giuseppe, from whom he learned the rudiments of sculpture, and continued his travels around Italy and Denmark, learning innovative techniques in the field of experimental ceramics: stoneware, raku, Porcelain, englobed
His journey take a rest in Palermo, where he found new artistic contaminations, first with Angela Di Blasi, with whom he collaborated in the creation of and then with the maestro Salvatore Rizzuti, from which he absorbed the techniques of wood carving and resin processing. In the last five years he has refined his personal language, creating a unique and recognizable distinctive sign.
His research revolves around the human being, drawing on images from the Archaic and Classical periods, transforming them and charging them with a humor-noir, but also a need for transcendence. His style may appear to be desecrating towards Ancient Myths, but what he tries to demolish is the consolidation of the convictions of contemporary man to create new visions, new questions, a new territory of the Sacred.
